Thank you viper88, very informative. By the way, i just browsed through Petronas website and found out that within the last 2 years, the have revamped the licensing procedures etc which may have impacted TGOFFS marine related licenses. Just hoping that TGOFFS OSV licenses are still intact.

wow ... in that case good la ..TGOFFS sold the OSV business to Ekuinas but still keep the OSV license (of course non OSV license kept with TGOFFS) ..and Ekuinas not aware ..very clever one.

Viper88 : Thank you for the info. By the way, Fircroft deal does not cost Fircroft much money and in fact they took some from already existing TGOFFS manpower business. As what was said, TGOFFS has been in the recruitment business before Fircroft comes in. I am trying to learn the business reason for Bourbon to RTO TGOFFS.

By the way, I thought all TGOFFS marine licenses are sold to Ekuinas? If TGOFFS still has the license, are they not breaching the agreement? well ..let's hope for the best.

My take on Sumatec is like this ... SKPetro is about RM 12B market cap and SKPetro helps oil company produce oil ... So Sumatec (being an oil producing company) as a minimum should be around the same market cap .. So the share price should be in RM 4 range to be in the same market cap level ..... Ada betul ka ini assumption?

Hopefully the Russian govt will compensate MAS by the billions and can turn around the company.

This month so many oil and gas RTO and M&A deals happening ha ha ha .. That Ijacobs RTO with this companies (Cekap and Mecip) is interesting too ... Just too bad that Cekap+Mecip have been doing the service for a very long time for Tanjung Fircrof is about to do.

Just curious, based on the stories (as per the link provided by Viper88), after the RTO, Tgoff will be as big as ICON and if that so, will Ekuinas give the waiver? It is not quite smart of Ekuinas to do that on the pinnacle of their investment in ICON abd the IPO. My fingers are itchy to click the buy button on my online stock trading ..but need more encouragement ..ha ha ha

@prc4, it means that the estimate done is at a very conservative numbers. We should be worried if it is done on say 50% prob of success. Just imagine, if at P10 (10% prob success) the recovery level is more than 100 mmbbls, what if they have better luck and more than 10%

Of course Alam's name not there because that is for platform installation and commissioning works. Alam will be subcontractor to those companies

Oil futures down only affect traders but not service providers producing oil. Even if it drops to USD 100 it is still okay. Usually oil company basis to develop oil field based on commercial viability of oil price at around USD 60 or so.

Say if I have 1000 unit shares on the X date at 50 sen and now have the right to buy / get 4 share at 1 share currently held with 17.5 sen per right issue but do not have the money to buy the right issue (since I have to pay 4000 unit x 17.5 sen = RM 680), does that means after the X date or on/after the rights listing date, my holding still stay at 1000 unit with greatly diluted price of circa 25 sen?

Good point hhakim. However, from what I can see, these deal has gone through extensive due diligence, Bursa Malaysia screening including major banks. Sumatec deal is not just a simple press release, it went through EGM etc. The deal also not exactly soliciting fund from normal public, if you look at it, the investors are mainly their friends ... We just "tumpang sekaki" with few lots of shares. .. Sumatec also said that their plan is going after mature fields so that they reduce exploration risk. ....
