Yu and Mee : Most probably he would have sold off, and taken some profit...
CNY need money, most people do.

GHLSYS is a good counter, but has gone up too high, much higher than its competitor, that's why some people choose to take profit in view of CNY.

Next week closer to CNY, more people will take profit, and after CNY, price should be more stabalised.

Maybulk : Next QR will be end of Nov which will cover Jul, Aug & Sept which is also the biggest jump in BDI. I think average is above 2000. Last QR which is Apr, May and June, the BDI is on average 1000 only. So now it is x2?

This means Maybulk profit will be double in coming Nov. That's why Maybulk today uptrend and price shot up.

KUALA LUMPUR (July 31): Shares in Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Keluarga Bhd (STMK) declined as much as 3.4% this morning, following news that Robert Kuok-controlled JAB Capital Bhd, the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and Hong Kong business magnate Li Ka-shing's son Richard Li's launch of a new takaful company FWD Takaful Bhd on Monday.

At 10:14am, the counter fell 22 sen to RM6.17, valuing the company at RM5.1 billion. STMK saw 308,600 shares traded.

TM : number of Streamyx customers dropped by 22.5%.
A shareholder pointed out that TM’s profit before tax was significantly lower in 2018 at RM17.4 million compared to RM1.0 billion in 2017, yet total tax paid in 2018 was only 10% lower at RM271.4 million.

(July 3): CIMB IB Research has downgraded the Malaysian insurance sector to Neutral and said it is fairly valued now at 12M forward P/E of 11.1x, above its 1 year historical average of 9.3x.

In a note July 2, the research house said it is positive on the outlook for the takaful industry, projecting premium growth of 6%-7% for general takaful, and low teens for family takaful in 2019F.

“We recently downgraded Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Keluarga (STMK) from Add to Reduce, despite it being a beneficiary of strong growth in the takaful industry’s total premium as its one-year forward rolling P/E of 15.7x on 21 June was at 1 s.d. above its 5-year historical average, while its forward rolling P/BV of 5.4x was close to 3 s.d. above its 5-year historical average.

Construction segment – getting busy. The revival of ECRL and Bandar Malaysia undoubtedly will benefit local players with order book replenishments. Although we reckon works is only likely to re commence next year, it should keep local players, including Gamuda, busy with job awards. On the ECRL, the Government has affirmed that 40% of the subcontractors for the project would be Malaysians. This translates to RM17.6bn worth of contracts that will be available. We expect Gamuda will participate and play a role in the project this time around. We understand that Gamuda had tried to get sub-contracting works from CCCC previously, though not successful. On top of these, we also expect more positive developments to come from the Penang Transport Master Plan (PTMP) of which Gamuda is project delivery partner (PDP).

More funds for property projects. Aside from potential special dividend, we expect Gamuda will also utilize the cash proceeds to fund its property development projects such as Gamuda Cove and Gamuda Gardens with both have GDVs of RM20bn and RM10.6bn respectively over 15 – 20 years of development. This year, the Group is targeting to launch projects with GDV around RM1.5bn for Gamuda Cove and RM200m - RM250m for Gamuda Gardens, with targeted sales of RM380m and RM470m respectively. In addition, we also understand that the Group is exploring new recurring income businesses to acquire or invest into.
