CT, that is depend on which windows version that you are using. generally the step as follows:
1. go to control panel
2. choose internet options (double click on it)
3. on the "general" tab, look for browsing history (middle of the screen)
4. click on "delete"
5. select the "temporary internet files" and "cookie"
6. click on "delete"
7. then click "ok"

you are done. Please take note the above steps are based on windows 8. :)

CT, are you using IE (internet explorer) or other options? It is a good practise to clear the temporary file/cookie periodically.
