@Karwai2021 I agree we should see chart, but key investment theme should be focused on company level and macro level for companies that are closely tied to economical activities.

Morning :) Today ARBB's performance is great too.

@z3fthology I disagree with the term habit, generally today market was down - again due to HKEX down close to 2pts as a whole and it impacted ASEAN market as well. Unfortunately, AGES seen some selling pressure due to external factor despite further extended political stability by PH and the current government, which bodes to promote recovery of economical sectors even further.

@davors Generally market down today, look at HKEX for point of reference. Do take cautious note on trading folks - but bright prospects on AGES for value investors!

@goodiewilly Unfortunately, the capital market works in a funny way as @KYYSUPPORTER had mentioned. Big funds or smart money only go in when they have the first hand advantage, but when the growth story is known to the public, they tend to take profit.

Fair mechanism in Bursa? :)

Anyway we as retail investors, our key focus in long term value creation of the company, which I believe ARBB is one of the best candidate to do so.

@Tigger Thank you for adding on the point of ICPS, almost forgot the conversion part.

If you look at newly acquired listed companies by RTO, some of them would include preference shares as an indirect way of controlling the stakes.

@kimi The concept of Top 30 shareholder is straightforward, it means the top 30 shareholders that are holding the shares of the company.

Big corporates oversea might see even lower directed and focused shareholding, the reasons we feel "abnormal" in Malaysia is because many corporates in Malaysia are family owned since IPO and will retain shareholding to control the company.

For ARBB, don't forget the company was just overtaken by the new management or new shareholders in 2018 / 2019 and turnaround. Hence why the top 30 shareholding might be lesser by comparison.

Generally this doesn't affect the performance of the company. Hope this helps :)

Just to share some insight about ERP segment - to those who are new to the ARBB:

Portland, OR, June 24, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- According to the report published by Allied Market Research, the global ERP market was pegged at $39.34 billion in 2019 and is estimated to hit $86.30 billion by 2027, registering a CAGR of 9.8% from 2020 to 2027. The report provides an in-depth analysis of the top investment pockets, top winning strategies, drivers & opportunities, market size & estimations, competitive landscape, and changing market trends.

Rise in need for operational efficiency & transparency in business processes, adoption of cloud & mobile applications, and increase in demand for data-driven decision-making power fuel the growth of the global ERP market . On the other hand, high investment and maintenance costs impede growth to some extent. However, surge in demand for ERP among small and medium enterprises and technological advancements would create new opportunities in the industry.

@Sumalia Pursuant to your question of selling to the market after conversion of ICPS, the answer to it is yes, you may sell in the open market. So based on your theory, can we conclude company that issues preference shares or loan stock is seeking to pump & dump?

Can you name real examples?

What is your base of your theory or accusation? Any proof of evidence?

If not, I think you are doing a terrible job in misleading investors. Please stop doing that.

@Sumalia Your investment logic is extremely entertaining, which to an extent, amusing. Looking at the track record of successful investors, how many of them try to time the inflow of hot money? And by hot money or "smart" money by your definition, do you think they would let the public know by creating massive volume to jump into an undervalued stock, or quietly collect if they are smart?

Not sure if they are smart, but I think I know whos not smart here :)

@Wong Kah Wei Are you expert in IOT? If so can you share more insight on the segment?

For now, what we can confirm is ARBB had seen real profit inflow from both ERP and IOT segment. If you are familiar with the segment, I'm sure you know integration is the key challenge for IOT. Where ARBB had already involved majorly in gaining market share of SMEs and slowly build up concession plans with the government on the IOT, which could see spillover effect to the SMEs part as well.

We always welcome useful comments, looking forward for your understanding of IOT.

Cheers :)

@kengedd Goreng or not goreng, I do not know. But if misleading comments are in place, I can't stand to see these people sit with personal agendas trying to compress to price further. As I mentioned previously, the maximum dilutive effect of the remaining ICPS will result in "halfing" the EPS, that means double of PER.

In short, the current ~3x PER will be doubled to ~6x PER. But based on the construction companies in the market, a fair value of ~8x to ~10x forward PER should be in place. I still stood my ground on AGES being undervalued.

@icst1975 If you are new to accounting, please do not misled the normal investors.

First off, liabilities is the summary of "liability" such as trade receivables, other receivables, leases, outstanding debt and so forth. What do you mean by "Trade Payables & Liabilities"? Such nonsense.

Secondly, good construction companies like Kerjaya Prospek, TCS Group, GDB all faced negative cash flow issue. Even Lagenda Properties had negative cash flow. This is how the construction industry work. Please check your statement before misleading investors.

When company delivering good results - change the topic and talk about other stuff.

Sincerely hope these operators who try to wash retailers out of the market can sleep well at night :)

Who those believe may refer to the construction outlook in the near future:

Malaysia’s construction industry is set to recover in 2021 and expand by 14.6% after construction activity was brought to a standstill across many parts of the country due to the impact of COVID-19 containment measures. However, the recovery is more a reflection of the depths to which activity fell in 2020 amid the COVID-19 lockdown, rather than a sign of resurgence, says GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.

According to GlobalData’s report, ‘Construction in Malaysia – Key trends and opportunities to 2025 (Q2 2021)’ Malaysia’s construction activity had slowed considerably in 2019, owing to delays in several mega construction projects and an increase in unsold housing stock. This weakness was further exacerbated with the pandemic in 2020. As a result, construction value-add declined by 19.4% in real terms. The recovery in 2021 will be driven by investments in transportation and energy projects as well as affordable housing.

@scrown I think we do not need to be harsh on him as he is asking legit questions, not like the spammers paid by the operators or parties with malicious intent.

@sting79 You latest calculation is right, just slightly off on the 13.0 cents conversion costs, the rest are good to go :)

Stock

2021-08-15 03:33 | Report Abuse

@sting79 Interesting way of thought, but don't forget whoever is converting the ICPS, they had the costs of 13.0 cents per share due to initial subscription of in the earlier stage. Also, when you surrender 1 ICPS for 1 common share, so your costs will be 13.0 cents not 14.0 cents.

The way of conversion was not announced in the public so we do not know who is converting, Presumably not the directors, as it would be advisable for them to announce it publicly.

Also, AGES-PA is trading at 2.0 cents per share in the open market. Even if we take one bid off, they could take profit at 1.5 cents per share of AGES-PA.

So if you use the scenario as a case study:

Disposing AGES-PA at 2.0 cents in the open market : (2.0 - 1.0 cents) = 1.0 cents / 100% ROI

Disposing AGES-PA at 2.0 cents in the open market : (1.5 - 1.0 cents) = 0.5 cents / 50% ROI

Converting in AGES common class shares: (9.5 - 13.0 cents) = 4.5 cents loss / 35% LOSS

I strongly suspect operators are trying to manipulate this forum. First they are saying conversion is for director pump in money because company is running out of cash. So if what @string79 say is right, the conversion is purely from ICPS to mother, then there are no cash coming from the directors into the company. Tho if you look at the quarterly report, they clearly do not need additional cash. Also, conversion of ICPS to mother require formal reporting as the shareholding of director or major shareholder changed.

Secondly, why had the previous investors of ICPS chose to convert instead of dispose AGES-PA in the open market when the volume is huge?

There is only one answer that make sense - someone is consider the AGES-PA into AGES common shares because they know something is brewing.
