Does collecting a customer's accounts receivable affect net income/ profit?

Collecting accounts receivable that are in a company's accounting records will not affect the company's net income. (Generally speaking, net income is revenues minus expenses.)

Under the accrual basis of accounting, revenues and accounts receivable are recorded when a company sells products or earns fees by providing services on credit. At the point of delivering the goods or services, the company debits Accounts Receivable and credits Sales Revenues or Service Revenues. When an account receivable is collected 30 days later, the asset account Accounts Receivable is reduced and the asset account Cash is increased. No revenue account is involved at the time of collection.

Your question brings to light the difference between a receipt and a revenue. Cash receipts from collecting accounts receivable or from the proceeds of a bank loan are not revenues. Revenues are amounts that companies earn through their operations by selling products or providing services (whether or not cash is received at the time of the sale or service).

I see some of you try to condemning another counter and promoting this counter with all the fundamental analysis and all sk called supportive facts (might be true or buce versa). Am not saying that this counter is good and that counter is not. I do believe that both counters have their strength and investors. So just cheer their uptrends. Why so scared? Or do you have certain agenda by trying to convince people to buy so that the price won't go down? REzeki dia, dia makan, rezeki you, you makan... So sama2 makan lah..

I saw a person who is trying very hard to promote another hot counter and comdemning this ctr with all his so called supportive points and analysis and all. I do not say that this counter is gd and that counter is jot gd. For me, if a person is doing so, it seems that he is scared of sth (maybe scared of the price will mark down) and has his own agenda. To traders n investors, trade at ur own risk. I would say that both counters are hood and potential counters so pls cheer up their uptrends. Why so scared? ASK YOURSELF lah!!

Agree. Just huy both stocks if u thk both r gd counters and i believe so. So we just ride along together and sing a song. Followers of ifca r happy and sk does another counter's followers. Everybody has their own justification n judgement. So, it's ur choice. As for me, I bought both

@Sahampower, at present, u can't expect any counter to move higher. this counter has already moved up last week. with the uncertain mkt condition, it's very unlikely.. dont play contra. u wil get burnt!

based on chart: Censof may gain further after surpassing the MYR0.655 level on its latest strong candle. Traders may buy as a bullish bias could be present above this level, with the target price at MYR0.70, followed by MYR0.77. The stock may pull back and turn sideways if it cannot sustain above the MYR0.655 level. Support may be found at MYR0.57, where a breach on closing could trigger a stop-loss.

ths is not a short term aim counter.. this is an investment counter.. look back to all the fundamental of a counter, then u can make ur own judgement. study the chart, analyze all the points of that counter and u can be wise enuff. not sell/ buy on people's saying, guessing or what not..!

though get small pie project, but the amount is huge.. Govt must appoint many providers. In banking industry also, they have placement in all banks including the smallest financial institution becoz their fund is huge..

why scared? good ctr & fundamental, without GST also this counter will up.. don't persuade others to run or hold. make ur own judgement investors.
