what mneo shared is exactly the problem loh. Prior to this, they use alot of foreign labour and imported raw material for china, except perishable items like food la. Actually, i heard they actually even bring rice from china, not sure how true is it. Anyway, TDM is negotiating for a new terms and steel is still in use ma. Unless China-Malaysia negotated to only buy from Alliance steel, then it will be no hope loh but i think alliance steel is marking different product. If not mistaken la.....

Gomen reviewing all the project instead of cancelling. And now emphasize to use 75% local product. Steel price still high. The margin may down be down by 4% (max) due to electricity rise. Price is almost all year low. Ppl very negative on steel counter already. Gomen need to spruce up the GDP and hence infrastructure project is the best for job creation. Overall, i think now is time to buy some to keep.

That is not the cause of TM to drop. The action that US going to take at 12.01am US time is the reason why stock drop.

lizi, i straight away deduct 4% from the eps oh....no matter how high.....it should be more than enough (many multiple times) to cover the increase of electricity la. Normally for heavy industries, Raw material, fuel/electricity and labor is the highest cost and we can assume 40/30/30 ratio?Anyway, i being generous and deduct 4% from the eps.

if electricity is the concern, do u think this is blown out of proportion? The increase is 1.35c per KWH. A heavy industry like lionind is using a high voltage industrial tariff. So lets assume that the peak is 33.70 cent per KW. 1.35c increase is actually 4%. So lets assume the cost of production increase overall by 4% (which is overstated) and to make it simpler, the eps decrease by 4% (which is even more ridiculous), the last 2 Q eps is 8.2 & 8.91. Lets take it at 8c and discount 4%, so it is still around 7.68c. So, PE still around 4.5.....of course the above assumption is ridiculous. so are we over reacting??...hmmm
