HIBISCUS EXECUTES AGREEMENT TO PURCHASE FIRST PRODUCTION ASSET Kitan oilfield to add positively to Company’s cash flow in 2H 2014

Hibiscus Petroleum has agreed to acquire a 25% non-operated stake in the Kitan producing oil field from Talisman Energy Inc. The Kitan oil field is located in Bonaparte Basin within the Australia-Timor Leste Joint Petroleum Development Area (JPDA) approximately 550km North West of Darwin, Australia.

Wood Mackenzie estimates that the remaining reserves of the Kitan field on 1st January 2014 were 17 million barrels of oil (4.25 million barrels net to Hibiscus) and that the average production rate for 2014 will be 10,000 barrels of oil per day (2,500 barrels of oil per day net to Hibiscus) from three subsea wells.

Infill drilling projects are under consideration to accelerate the recovery of reserves.

The acquisition represents significant milestone in the delivery of Hibiscus’ portfolio balancing strategy.

Iching88 - Sona is buying 40% of Thai asset from Salamander group. Nevertheless, good to do pricing comparison based on share based. Theoretically market capitalization of SONA should be 40% of Salamader for Thai CURRENT operations, which Salamader now owns 100%. So it would be nice to be able to do comparative price based on total issued shares as the core business of Salamander is in Thai and likewise SONA, so ballpark we should know what is the best guestimate price of SONA once S&P signed.

@prc4wifewife- Bloomberg is showing Salamader EPS as negative 0.46 so I don't think you want to use this.

Market Cap: 335.1M

EPS TTM : -0.46 GBp

Shares Outstanding : 258.8M (Sona shares over 1 billion)

Fauzan - Can you clarify this:
1. Current Market cap of Salamader group - RM1.79 billion with all the existing business and profitablity
2. If Sona buys 40% stake, What should be SONA market Cap? That will give you a rough indication of price as we know share float is over 1 billion.
