firstly, Singapore is small & rich with US$100,000 per capita, just 2nd behind Luxembourg & has the world most competitive economy. Why would anyone want to risk taking graft.
There are always controversies surrounded China's covid figure & its transparency.Though China iron fist approach of dealing with the covid spreading may prove to be more effective, but then way of life & culture, way of dealing with privacy issue are just different between the 2 countries, thus it is inappropraiate to compare them. North Korea also claimed they have zero case i guess you would buy that too. Perhaps they have different approach of counting them, executed covids patients don't count. I wouldnt surprise if you think it's alright to have suspected covid patients locked within their house and have the doors & windows secured tightly with nails.
With the renewing movements of global supply chains & should decoupering escalated, maybe in a few years time, India's much younger population size will surpass China in many aspects once they deal with their infra & social class issues.
Ironically many rich who bashed western democratic system heavily also having to have a lot of assets in those countries. not to say sending their kids there to study or having their families to move there . Now who is the hypocrite

Western democratic countries as a general. I am not just referring to one particular western democratic country. I don't suppose you think all western democratic countries are the same. Ofc you can think like that, it is free world. You can say the glass is half full, i can say it is half empty

Western countries are more transparent, as they have oppositions, news medias, NGOs, Independent judiciaries, that can criticized and keep an eye on their government for any form of power abuse. Totalitarian regimes took away all that, making zombies media, turning government agencies & population into robotic mutants that only follow instructions of the regime be it right or wrong. It is merely one man show ,the totalitarian regime can say anything, disseminating political propaganda with the help of actors/actresses, cybertroopers, hardcore followers & various counterparts in the global arena that had been offered perks

@ykyew11, couldnt agree more. China's inactivated vaccine only delivered slightly more than 50% effective rate. Unlike Pftzer & Moderna, Sinovac and AstraZeneca vaccine are a lot more useful to developing countries which might not be able to store large amounts of vaccine at extremely low temperatures. They are more than delighted to see China's propaganda fans here to help them with their 3rd phase clinical trial, might not even be free. It is even on their news they have recently cracked down some scams hawking covid 19 jabs contenting only saline solution or mineral water since last year, some fake vaccines had even flown overseas. Wish all those taking their vaccine Bon vaccination & good luck. I would never use their vaccine even if it is the last veil of vaccine left in the entire universe
