Fundamentally the company has improved a lot in order to meet the BNM banking standard, eg the leverage ratio increase from 8% to above 12.5 %... BUT the supply of share is plently due to current right issue... Short term selling pressure...

The RSC is cash cow biz... Hope it will not be cancelled.. As for the scomi's ophir RSC, there is no indication of cancelling. The ophir's RSC is being developed at a cost of RM35/pb.. Currently, Petra energy, Dayang and UZMA's RSC is till ongoing... This is all political biz... Scomi has PAK LAH whose is the adivisor of petronas now...

This right issue will raise RM1.7bil which is consider will give MBSB a new life.. Imagine the MBSB's market cap is only RM4.4bil..... SEEM good value..

hian949372.... i can say that MBSB is in the right directiron by cleaning the book now in order to bight it to the banking stardard by providing more loan impairment over 2016 and 2017.. This will pave the way for future merge or becoming a bank.. At this current price and the direction of MBSB, it seem a good MID TERM investment...

1) EPF already control RHB BANK... 2) U r right, CMY is very smart, but he is mid to long term investor, 3) Merges failed not bcos share price, failed becos the MBSB dont meet the BANK NEGARA BANKING standard, especially the loan provision, which MBSB is doing now till 2017..

IF the oil price stays at this current price of USD50, the RSC oil filed will be the next big contribution, the company expect 1st oil will be on 3rd QR..

Oil and gas is on recovery path. There seem good value in scomies now. By the time the analyst upgrade the price, it will be very high price.. MAYBE RM0.30+ when analyst start to upgrade..

Purposely Write down and impairment make the QR result loses RM40+mil,,, they "investor" is collecting... look funny, something must be going on...

The main loses is from vessel and impairment.. The drilling still maintain profitable and the RSC field start to show little profit.. Cash flow is still positive and gearing in reducing to RM300mil ..

Deleum and UZMA don't do any write down,,, So they still show profit..

loses is due to impairment loses of about RM50mil, mainly for vessel impairment of RM40mil and stock write of RM10mil.. Core business still making profit.. It is just write down of asset value in most O&G industry..

From fundamental point, it is good buy for oil and gas... From technical point, the trend is up moving from bottom RM0.20+++
