There are (three) explosive factors which will easily skew the whole valuation above of David...much much higher than 19.5.....


(1) The throughput will rise by 20% after the upgrade...this results with pure surplus cash to the bottom line. No additional administrative costs...no extra finance costs.... this pure BONUS cash flow.

(2) Hengyuan management had mentioned they are planning to venture into trading of Petrochemical products...just another 10k bpd equivalent with a thin margin will have mind boggling effects on its bottom line...

(3) The IMO 2020 effects will start to become more and more apparent beginning of 2019....and brew into a 'perfect storm'..it will show its full force as it hits 2020. It will be pure blessing to Hengyuan which mainly produces Diesel.... This effects will at least last a few years... Its like a hundred Hurricane Harvey coming one after another continuously...

Item no.3 should never be underestimated..especially when data shows that net regional refining capacity additions is lower than the demand rise...

IMO 2020 itself would have killed a major chunk of the available refineries in the world..those Simple refineries that produces mainly Fuel Oil...

This will result with exponential rise in refining margins of Hengyuan...

Doing DCF perhaps ensures you dont lose monney in market...coz any tom dick and harry can do that...but...if you want to talk about winning....you need know what you can see others cant see....what is you edge?

Ans : I share the same opinion. I prefer the price moves up slowly and steadily. Too much volatility will encourage strong profit taking.

Just to add that sumato88 and David's comments help us make such decision to certain extent too. Because they both gave very logical arguments with good rationales. And we like it.

By the way, we do not buy CC or CD because we go long term than the expiry date.

After discussion with my investment members of almost 20 of us here, we decided to average buy if the price really come down below 8.80.

All of us agreed that this is a must buy counter for steady investment return.

Our existing holdings of Petronm are all around 7.Though we entered a little late that time, we still feel the uptrend potential to go above 10 is highly reachable.

That's the reason we decided to add more instead of some this round of correction for dumb dumb hold until next year 2Q.

Because we are also property investors club of our own for 10 years with some good cash.

We noted Petronm could give us the best return for the time being and at this market conditions currently. We are not worried about price going downwards so much because we are longer term investors and are also backed with decent rental income with minimal bank loans.

Still not falling sharp leh, want buy after sold this morning..........nevermind will reenter a while later.
