Wah Seong nets US$39.5mil contract from Norwegian oil company








KUALA LUMPUR: Wah Seong Corp Bhd’s pipe coating unit has clinched a US$39.5mil (RM165.8mil) contract from Statoil ASA Norway for the coating work for the Johan Sverdrup Export Pipeline Project (JoSEPP).

The oil and gas service provider told Bursa Malaysia that the job involved coating of about 430km of 18-inch and 36-inch pipes, including anti corrosion coating, internal flow coating and concrete weight coating.

“Activity is expected to commence in the last quarter of 2016 and be completed by the middle of 2017,” it said.

It said the provision of pipe coating services was the core business of the group and the risks were the normal operational risks associated with provision of pipe coating services.

“The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of the Wah Seong Corp group over the contract period. The contract is project specific and is not renewable,” the company said.

JoSEPP’s objective is to provide a transport solution for the oil and gas from the Johan Sverdrup field to onshore oil and gas terminals (Mongstad and Kårstø).

The 36-inch outside diameter (OD) oil export pipeline is about 283km, which will go north to Mongstad.

The 18-inch OD gas export pipeline is approximately 156 km which will go east from the Johan Sverdrup riser platform (JSRP) to a hot tap at Statpipe (S31) rich gas pipeline at approximately 130 m water depth.

Wah Seong shares gained 3 sen to close at RM1.03 on Friday.

儘管百貨公司轉型計劃將讓百盛控股 （PARKSON，5657，主要板貿服）承擔高成本，但轉型計劃中期內將奏效，促使我們維持該股“跑贏大市”評級。
　該公司管理層將致力于為百貨公司轉型，包括推出更多個人品牌，擴大品牌組合，提高銷售，改善賺幅。轉型計劃也涵蓋強化現有品牌，及開設餐飲分店。
　雖然該公司在轉型計劃下，短期內將承擔高成本，但相信中期內將看到改革計劃的成果。
　針對中國市場，該公司從年初至今已關閉3間表現欠佳的百貨公司，打算在未來幾個月內再關閉幾間百貨公司。我們看好此舉因為公司無需進一步承擔不必要的開支。
關閉表現欠佳百貨公司
　無論如何，我們認為，中國人民銀行降息可帶動當地消費意願。
　有待該公司在來週公布業績及管理層的指引，我們暫時維持盈利預測。
　我們相信市場已納入該股近期的跌勢，加上考量到基本面強勁，股價不大可能進一步走低。
　百盛控股投資評級維持在“跑贏大市”，目標價為1.48令吉。

鍾廷森關聯公司傳1.1億售萬津地

　（吉隆坡15日訊）消息有指，鋼鐵大亨丹斯里鍾廷森關聯公司可能以1億1000萬令吉售地。

　財經周刊《 The Edge Weekly 》引述消息來源指出，鍾廷森關聯公司，即Andalas發展私人有限公司（簡稱Andalas），已脫售位于萬津皇冠城（Bandar Mahkota Banting）佔地面積296英畝的土地。

　根據報導，Andalas可能以1億1000萬令吉，將上述土地脫售給Island Circle發展（大馬）私人有限公司。

　這是鍾廷森關聯公司所脫售第2片位于烏魯冷岳的土地。

　金獅多元控股（LIONDIV，2887，主要板消費）早前宣布，計劃以3650萬令吉，將位于烏魯冷岳的土地，脫售給KLC Agro私人有限公司。

　不過，報導指出，鍾廷森公司的職員不願就該事宜置評。

　報導根據公司註冊委員會數據指出，鍾廷森是Andalas的董事之一。

国油： 若符合2条件 加国LNG计划可立即展开

国油指出，Pacific Northwest LNG计划已满足和符合所有技术与商业条件。

（吉隆坡11日讯）国家石油公司（Petronas）指出，假设能够满足2个条件，就会立即展开位于加拿大的Pacific Northwest LNG计划。
这2个条件，分别是获得联邦政府环境评估报告的批准，以及跟英属哥伦比亚政府确立长期开采税的协议。
国油在温哥华与该计划的伙伴协商后，已经作出最终投资决定（FID），该公司指出，假设可满足上述条件，公司与伙伴就继续推进Pacific Northwest LNG计划。
暂停环境评估
Pacific Northwest LNG计划总裁迈克卡尔伯特向路透社表示：“这次会议是推动计划进行的重大助力，一旦满足这2个条件，我们将立即展开工程。”
国油也指出，Pacific Northwest LNG计划已满足和符合所有技术与商业条件，接下来，将等待相关单位的批准和支持。
国油改变了一些设计，减少对当地生态环境的打击，并继续与当地原住民社区联盟洽谈，寻找解决方案。
同时，加拿大环境评估机构在本月第3次，暂停环境评估，并要求呈上更详细的资料与报告。
由于CEAA并未透露恢复评估程序的确切日期，因而为该计划带来不确定因素。
输送管计划获批
加拿大政府在周四（11日），批准了一个供应天然气予该计划的输送管，该输送管总值17亿加元（约51.77亿令吉）。
这项计划由国油领军，有望成为加拿大首个主要液化天然气（LNG）出口设施，目标在2019年营运，供应亚洲市场。
破坏生态引争议
其他的伙伴为中国石油化工、日本石油勘探公司、印度石油公司和汶莱石油。
但这项计划频频遭遇绊脚石，主要障碍是当地居民担心生态环境遭到破坏，因而提出反对，亦拒绝了总值11.5亿加元（约34.96亿令吉）的赔偿金。
加拿大天然资源部也指出，公司很可能低估该计划对当地养殖业打击。
原住民社区联盟挑战政府
原住民社区联盟Blueberry River First Nations表示，将挑战加拿大天然气发展部长科尔曼的决定。
该联盟已委托律师，反对当地政府与国油子公司Progress Energy签署的长期开采税协议。
在这项协议底下，Progress Energy将投资数十亿加元，在Blueberry River的主要地区，发展大型工业项目。
由于这将有损当地居民的权益，因此，原住民社区联盟决定提出反对。

多元資源（DRBHCOM，1619，主要板工業）旗下大馬綜合科技研究公司（簡稱CTRM），是國防和航空業務最大成長推動因素，料有助加強國防科技業務，尤其是航空領域方面，可為汽車業務提供輕質複合材料科技專才。

　該公司在2013年11月收購CTRM后，成功將業務轉虧為盈，2015財年截至3月底淨利達2330萬令吉，這有可能是該公司重新接洽現有合約條例，及擴大產能來攝取現有需求帶動。

　CTRM新大樓將在7月投入運作，新裝備還包括3個全新“高壓滅菌器”（autoclave）。新增產能將專注為A350 XWB型號空中巴士生產全球最大風扇罩，預計將在今年10月交付。目前，CTRM每個月供應42套風扇罩給空中巴士，預計未來每月產能可增至44套。

　同時，該公司有意每年至少增加2個高壓滅菌器擴展產能，以達到市場需求，相信新增一個高壓滅菌器可每年貢獻8500萬令吉營業額。

　據管理層透露，空中巴士正提升產能，要在2018至2020年增加每月風扇罩產能至50套。

　短期內，多元資源預計會外包簡易零件至其他獲空巴批准供應商，並專注在具較高價值的複雜配備。

　我們維持多元資源“跑贏大市”評級，合理價為2.71令吉，相信CTRM可加強公司國防科技業務。

It wants to resolve issues related to aboriginal group’s concerns on Canada project

PARIS: Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas), which is currently awaiting environmental approval for its proposed multi-billion ringgit liquified natural gas (LNG) export terminal project in Canada, is engaging with the Canadian aboriginal group known as First Nation to resolve issues related to the group’s concerns.

Executive vice-president and chief executive officer of upstream Datuk Wee Yeow Hin said the proposed project had a good business case to proceed, although it had yet to make a final investment decision.

“We have not made a decision yet whether to proceed with the project. We’re hoping to make the decision soon. At the same time, we have to work with the First Nation to resolve their concerns before we can proceed with the project,” Wee told Bernama on the sidelines of the 26th World Gas Conference here.

The aboriginal group earlier rejected an offer of C$1bil (RM2.97bil) in return for supporting the export terminal, saying the development would harm a fish habitat next to the project site.

Asked whether consent from the First Nation community was required for the project to proceed, Wee said, “We will always make sure that we manage our stakeholders. Our (business) model is always to work with them.”

The Petronas-led Pacific NorthWest LNG project in north-eastern British Columbia, Canada, involves the construction of facilities to process and export natural gas to be produced by Progress Energy Canada Ltd.

An earlier report said the total investment by Petronas and its partners at roughly C$36bil include the construction of the Pacific NorthWest LNG export terminal near the northern city of Prince Rupert, a natural gas pipeline and ongoing gas development.

Meanwhile, vice-president of Global LNG Project Adnan Zainol Abidin said Petronas was waiting for the environmental permit from the federal regulator.

The project received environmental approval from the provincial government last year.

“We can’t tell when exactly they are going to issue, but we hope sooner than later. We hope to achieve something in weeks rather than months,” he added.

Adnan said the group was working on multiple tracks, including working closely with the federal and provincial governments as well as the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency, and continuing to engage the First Nation community to address their concerns.

“We work constructively so that we can see how can we move the project forward because we are of the opinion that the project is beneficial to the community and country,” he added. — Bernama
