CENGILD has been heavily mispriced. There is no reason for the overreaction in the sell-off.
The pivot from renting a building to totally owning one seems highly rationale, given there is a huge business risk if the landlord takes back the property.
As a shareholder, decision to own a building MUST be executed and thoroughly supported. Otherwise, there is a huge cloud of uncertainty with high risks of pushing the company into zero revenue if the building lease cannot be renewed.

Normal for stocks to pull back when reporting good profits. Happened to several counters in Bursa for the past week. General market sentiment is low.
But with good profits, this should be reflected upwards once the price consolidated.

Drop in prices on Monday will be the greatest opportunity to accumulate because the worst quarter is definitely over with the reopening. Hopefully can get some good deals monday morning haha

It's alright. We have already formed quite a substantial number of members in the Telegram group. Big enough to self-sustain for new information sharing and meaningful discussion.
We don't need naysayers here to distract further.
Thanks.

I'd say if Jaks is a scam company, the Powerplant project would just be another MOU and it'll be terminated after that. But the construction of the powerplant really happened and it was completely built.
ALP and his management really took effort and time to clinch this deal with Viet gov and strike a partnership deal with China. None of these are scams.
Now, the company has delivered the powerplant on time, it's time to build up cashflows to sustain it's operations. Coincidentally, Covid came and of course it didn't help but it's not a show-stopper. Private placement is fine during stages like these and the fact there are investors willing to put money shows trust and credibility in the company.

Surprised to see Sslee's comments getting less and less relevant, and to the point of being non-sensical. Almost as if arguing for the sake of arguing without any strong facts but with just one-liners. Also he just avoided my question conveniently.
Makes us wonder, why would someone with a sane mind put so much effort into finding faults of a company (without strong facts)? Perhaps some bad experience losing money in JAKS previously, hence doing this out of vengeance? Because if you tell me all it's for the greater good bullshit, sorry I just can't buy it.

Enough of the mud slinging and bad behavior on this platform. Let's keep things professional.
To answer SSLee's question on cashflows. I'm not sure if you have ever come acrossed Petron's financials. If you have, you will notice Petron was in a huge debt and there was a golden period where Petron made substantial profits, allowing it's share price to surge along. The debt was cleared off after several years and it became debt free. And now it still made good profits with zero debt.
Yes, companies will be subjected to heavy scrutiny when it's debt laden. But when profitability grows and become sustainable, the business basically becomes a cash cow.
So it's upto naysayers to make their comment and it's upto investors personally on how they view debt. A debt laden company without profit sustainability will fail, like what we see in most O&G companies now, but clearly, this is not the case for JAKS.
No right or wrong here, as different investors carries different risk appetite. Time will tell and some smart risk taking may bring great rewards. Cheers everyone.

where to find a company which can make good profit plus distribute dividends during height of Covd? amazing company. keep up the good work! team

Not sure how sustainable is the business model of convenient stores these days. competition is tight and margins are cut throat. this results in super thin margins and events like pandemic would greatly affect it's profitability.
seems like a tough sell.

Great article. if Innature manages to retain it's latest quarter profit of RM7.7m, the PE will be approx 15. but definitely, it perform better than this figure post-covid recovery. i reckon it'll be around 10 times PE when situation improves.

well no chance for re-entry it seems. should have bought when it went down to 0.83 earlier.
those who sold this morning must be scratching their heads now.

The panic selling is real. Monitoring very closely to re-enter for a couple more days. Hopefully can get a much better price next week.
2021-03-25 20:12 | Report Abuse
Good point Choivo, but I’ll wait for the deep price correction after several days, probably end of next week and to take advantage of the panic selling
2021-03-25 18:50 | Report Abuse
Does that mean 2mr is the best time to accummulate with people panic selling during Opening?
I'm surprised the loss in their Q1 report did not deter Mynews to open more CU stores.
But I guess, Choivo could be right. There is only gonna be up now since Covid cases are reducing and vaccines are available. It just can't be worse than 3 months ago.
Airasia is making even steeper losses and their share price still moves up. Interesting now, the stock market is pricing at 1 year ahead.

In any event, it is an impressive comeback from previous quarters which were hammered badly by the pandemic. This shows that the business is resilient.
The private placement is positive. It shows management's intention to grow the business. If you look into how they will utilize the proceeds, the management is quite forward looking and decides to invest in digital transformation, including RFIDs. I'd rather not have a rights issue as I'd prefer to buy from the market cheaply now, at any time, or quantity, vs being forced into a purchase.
2021-03-23 16:54 | Report Abuse
Should have bought more but I guess I have missed the train. To continue to monitor closely for any correction.
2021-03-23 16:36 | Report Abuse
If u all look at the recently announced quarterly results, they have issued 2 reports.
1) 3 months quarter report; and
2) 1 month report.
If we look at the 3 months quarter report, it is almost all time high profit of RM5.7m for a quarter. That is really impressive. I think the market is reading the results wrongly by just referring to the 1 month report which is for Jan'21 only.
It's pretty obvious to me this ACE counter has been manipulated by Gooshen's stock operator. If this is done illegally, there will be consequences.

Another sterling performer of recovery play. But with that being said, the price is still significantly lower than where it should be. Look at AEON, Airasia, Genting, etc, all which have recovered close to pre-Covid prices. Mynews is still so much lower than it used to be. It has a lot more room to climb.
2021-03-12 16:52 | Report Abuse
Looks like late today there was a sudden surge in interest for MyNews.
2021-03-10 20:36 | Report Abuse
One of the most undervalued recovery play stock, besides AirAsia and Genting which have went up a lot recently. Mynews is still pretty cheap in my opinion and I think even with bad quarterly results (like AirAsia), the price would be relatively stable.

Good call. Today’s closing is a good indicator, Semiconductor and chips stocks are still down today but Krono managed to regain ground and had a steady positive close, with healthy buy rate.
This proves that the market has differentiated Krono from the other overvalued semiconductor stocks and is cognizant that Krono remains undervalued.

i think if the quarter results are good, in the next AGM we as shareholders, can propose the management to bring the company to be listed in the Main Market. that will give more exposure to the company and upgrade it's corporate profile.

The upcoming quarterly results to be announced in end Mar'21. It will be crucial to identify the following investor concerns:
1) Is the company overvalued? Compare the price before Covid-19 happens.
2) Did the company took advantage to grow it's business during the pandemic?
3) Has the partnership with Baidu been reflected in the financial statements?
4) Do we foresee similar contract wins if the deliverables can be executed properly?
2021-03-08 17:21 | Report Abuse
This company has been unfairly punished for plunge in Nasdaq for being a tech stock. Funny thing is that the stock didn’t surge much like other semiconductor companies when Nasdaq surged.
the company has been relatively cheap and the delay in financial reporting added unnecessarily fear to uninformed investors because it’s a change in financial reporting with additional one month figures.
The company is good but the management clearly lacks PR skills to explain the company situation and investors relation is almost nonexistent.
If management is reading this, I recommend that u give more guidance to investors what steps u have taken to grow the company otherwise be prepared for lots of tough questions during this coming AGM.

well, at least there is a proper plan on what to do with the funds, which is to expand it's glove and construction business, of which all are profitable ventures. don't see it as a big issue since there is a huge investor mopping up all the shares from Mr. Ng.
2021-01-29 16:38 | Report Abuse
The drop for this week has been overly drastic due to main shareholder selling down stake down. I think this created a chain reaction and scared all other minority shareholders into panic selling as well.

no worries, we all have high hopes for Innature and I believe with their strong branding and competent team, and strong growth coming from Vietnam and Cambodia. we should see a stronger company out of the pandemic

Wow abdul, your reply surprises me. I thought u had deep understanding of the business model, but seems like u don’t. How is it possible a franchise cannot be loss making? Did u even read the quarterly report? No big cost to cover, u sure? Rentals, salaries, marketing and promotion costs, depreciation, etc...?
Not trying to bad mouth the stock but your perspective on this is inaccurate and deeply misleading. And ur PE analysis is plucked from the sky, not a good way to convince investors to invest
