I think the problem is that you are looking at AirAsia as solely an aviation company, I think most analyst do too. You need to look at their digital side as well. While their digital segments comprise a small segment of their revenue right now, I think it will be promising in the future since the growth rates for all of them have been quite impressive. No doubt AirAsia is badly affected at the moment, but this can be mitigated with proper cash flow management and rights issue/private placement.

Institutions can give a target price of 0.3-0.4, but the question is whether they walk the talk. It has been nearly a month and the net short position for this counter is only at around 16 million shares. It sure doesn't seem like these institutions are following their own recommendations, if they were to follow it, they should be confident in shorting it with a target price that low.

Average price after factoring the new shares @0.68 from PP should be at roughly 0.72. I think that AA will close lower but of course, anything can happen depending on market sentiment. I also think that RI will be delayed since I assume this PP will be utilised by AA to buy time.
