Only time will tell. The way I see, the stories we heard are now making sense. Another article I read, the 3 main players in HDD are making their own stances to adapt to the current changing market.

WD : Venturing more on corporates, wireless networks and SMEs. Maintaining the ASP of HDD by maintaining the production volume.

Seagate: In interest to acquire a SSD making company. Trying to get a bite in SSD market, perhaps?

Toshiba: Developing more hybrid HDDs for more reliable and efficient HDDs.

As long as these 3 big boys keep the ball rolling, JCY will continue to benefit from it. There are more to come for sure!

Some positive news from WD. Seems they are targeting the enterprises this round. Just like what our Bro Lamken said earlier..

It formed Black Shaven bottom today, a reversal type of candlestick. Should expect a rebound tomorrow?

Put the optimistic part aside, but true enough whatever he explains seem logical and understandable, just like what Lamken has been telling here. This industry is just a little bit unique, high demand but left with only few players...with the damages caused to most of the industry players except JCY, I believe JCY managed to turnaround become a gem in HDD industry. It's just the matter of time to prove it. I'm not too sure about SSD, but for it to grow to match with/replace HDD, it takes time and until then, JCY will still be benefitting from the current expanding demand of storage market.

Fat cat: you're right that the price of hdd were reducing over the period, but I think this won't be affecting jcy, as it will dominate the market share more over it's competitors. The question will be the demand of hdd moving forward. As long as the demand continue to grow, then, jcy will continue to prosper.

Nkn: what lam ken means was that there will be a ready buyer to absorb all the shares that will be throw out by the cowboys during their process of pressing the price down...so, back to the strategy, all we need to do now is to keep selling higher and higher, in order to match up the big players to fight back the cowboys...till a point where all of them (cowboys) felt unsecured, they will panickly desire for more mothers...then you do your own calculations then...what would happened to the mother's price then...

My guess is that, they already got it in hand, just yet to announce to public only. Yes, it's always like that...remember it plunges from RM 1.5x to the low of RM 1.07, then it shot back up to RM 1.6x...i believe this round will still be the same style, and the rebound momentum will be even greater than the previous round.

As long as everyone keep selling high, instead of panic selling (if you intend to sell), those cowboys won't be able to do anything (they can only play around themselves, but it won't be any effect if everyone of us knew the true value and be firmed to sell high), that's how we can fight back for this 2 days, that's just my personal opinion.
