The presenter said "Why we need fund manager to take care of our client investment? If we invest by our self, this will be dangerous for us as we did not know when the stock is going up or down and which price is the best price to buy and sell. The fund manager are the only professional licensed and trained individual who know and able to look after your investment."

this person talk like he/she have the crystal ball that can predict future stocks price hahha.

can you be your own fund manager? of course you can!

but you need to learn a lot of stuff, read a lot of books, get experience, admit made mistake and correct it etc etc

as the devil say, success doesn't come easy, i wish you all the best, :) sincerely.

"If we invest by our self, this will be dangerous for us...." What % had all the way winning in the unit trust game? I better lose the money my self rather than having professional lose MY money instead.
I've paid a professional wealth manager (don't ask me who) n gave them 50k to manage which he did thru unit trust, after 2 yrs he cant even beat FD returns, better put in ASM n forget, returns are ensured.

If UT had annual meeting where shareholders can vote on performance, I believe more UT funds will perform & beats FD marker much better. The fact is that majority of funds had average or below performance.
But one things that I notice is that, they always perform after a major market downturn.
