Dr Mahathir Mohamad said while government policies would continue to help Malays, the contracts awarded to them would be merit-based.

“This time we will ensure whatever is given to the Malays will not be abused,” he told PPBM members at an event to mark the party’s second anniversary here.

“We will ensure they are trained in management, especially when it comes to managing money. We won’t hesitate to take action against any misappropriation,” he said.

U must understand mahathir need to plp the malays loh, they are more than 60% of msian populations & for years malays benefited from NEP...the malays cannot afford do without their special priviledge loh...!!

So in order to improve, the msian govt need to cut wastage & reduce abuses in hand at least reduce the blow to msian economy....in a way better than najib govt which have give special priviledge & same time abuse the handout by siphoning loh.....!!
