DAP and MUDA was under the same unity.
In fact, during the election for Muar, Pakatan had withdraw to allow MUDA to compete. The situation is different, DAP and MCA are opposition.
Your comrade who you helped calling you a dog vs your enemy calling you a dog. Big differences.

MCA is Umno lapdog. All of us have eyes to see. As for DAP, it is the respect shown towards coalition partners. But not MCA, crumbs and leftovers are fed to them by their master Umnoputras.

I think voters has given MCA a huge slap over decades. It is just them not knowing that the trend has changed for so long that DAP became the master by adapting to swift changes riding towards the trend to where we are today. If given the chance to adapt, just do it lol.
