DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd, which is currently improving and upgrading its network nationwide with new retail
concept, plans to open 26 DiGi Stores and 175 DiGi Store Express (DSE) by end-2013.

Its head of retail, Patrick Er, said the long-term plan involved an investment of RM30 million. Er said DiGi also planned to increase its customer base.

"About 20 DiGi Stores have already changed to the new concept. Two stores will be opened in Kuala Lumpur and Ipoh by year-end and four more next year.

"For the DSE, 25 outlets will be opened by year-end and 150 outlets by end-2013," he told a media briefing here today.

He said a survey conducted by the company showed that 92 per cent of the customers liked the new retail concept because they were more customer-oriented. -- Bernama
