I bought this @ a very high price( or so it seemed until now) of $1.6617 in Apr '16 for AGM & dividends...then I checked my records & was mystified that it showed only 12 lots purchased but the dividends that have been coming in since dunno when have been for 18 lots...then discovered there was a 1 for 2 bonus in '17 SO my cost is actually $1.1078!👍

Industries Bhd (“REI”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, and Sediabena Builders Sdn Bhd
(“SBSB”) has on 8th January 2024 signed the Letter of Acceptance issued by Malaysia Rapid Transit
System Sdn Bhd (“MRTS”), a subsidiary of Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd in respect of the
construction and completion of Package 8 Construction and Completion of Bukit Chagar Station’s Façade
for the Rapid Transit System Link Johor Bahru – Singapore Project (“RTS Link Project - Package 8”).
2. INFORMATION ON THE CONSORTIUM, REI AND SBSB
2.1 Consortium
The Consortium comprising REI and SBSB was formed pursuant to an agreement between REI and
SBSB dated 20th October 2023 for the purpose of bidding for the RTS Link Project - Package 8 and
to undertake the execution of the RTS Link Project - Package 8, if awarded.
Upon award of the RTS Link Project - Package 8, REI and SBSB will enter into a detailed joint
venture agreement with the following proposed equity ratio:
REI: 70%
SBSB: 30%
2.2 REI
REI is a public limited company incorporated in Malaysia and having its registered office at 15th Floor,
East Wing, Rohas Tecnic, No. 9, Jalan P. Ramlee, 50250 Kuala Lumpur. The issued and paid-up share
capital of REI is RM73,787,229 comprising 68,377,306 ordinary shares.
The principal activities of REI include
(1) design and fabrication of steel structures for high-tension transmission towers, microwave towers
and substations structures; and
(2) provision of other fabrication and installation works.
2.3 SBSB
SBSB is a private limited company incorporated in Malaysia and having its registered office at 2A, Jalan
SS 25/22, Taman Mayang, 47301 Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan. The issued and paid-up share
capital of SBSB is RM5,000,000.00 comprising 5,000,000 ordinary shares.
The principal activity of SBSB include the design, supply, fabrication and installation of steel structures
and other general contract works.
3. SALIENT TERMS OF THE LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE
The salient terms of the Letter of Acceptance, are inter alia as follow:-
(a) the total contract sum for the RTS Link Project - Package 8 is RM199,839,123.00 (Ringgit Malaysia
One Hundred Ninety Nine Million Eight Hundred Thirty Nine Thousand One Hundred Twenty Three
Only), which shall be inclusive of the prevailing Sales and Services Tax; and
(b) the RTS Link Project - Package 8 is expected to be completed by 31st May 2025.

Even after 41% ⏫ in shares issued, fair value JUST BASED on the Top 2 MOST LIQUID assets of CASH + Great Eastern shares is between $3.66 -$4.50, not even counting:
1. The 2 adjoining ultra-luxurious, ultra-sprawling Victorian-era Mayfair flats valued at over $70 mil{£10,000 rental income per month}
2. The Kelantan freehold plantation lands valued @ $105 mil
3. The freehold S'pore conservation shophouse valued @ $50 mil {S$16,000 rental income per month}
4. The Kajang freehold land valued @ $8 mil.

And this also disregards the S'pore bonds, gold bars & hedge fund stake which I assume to be not too liquid.

The above post reveals the person to be an AMATEUR...$21.80 high in Jan 1994 after adjusted for bonuses etc is about $8.50 🤣 So those unfortunates who bought @ that peak & held long enough still made $ & the real high is just under $17 in early 2015 & buyers at THAT later price are the ones who are losing big. My Sungei Bagan realized earnings cross the $5k mark reaching $5,671.82 since '13 after earning ZERO last year when it was comatose ALL YEAR LONG & margin interest piled up on a small stake re-purchased too high in Oct '21!

This stock is extremely challenging. It's a good thing that the margin shares I bought on 2/1 for 83c were SOLD on 3/1 for 86-90.5c on an impulse to chalk up the first (contra) gain on this bugg@r since 2015! At least pay me back some 'interest' for getting STUCK for so long...the last dividend being paid way back in '14 & '15.

The historic high is NOT 3.96. That figure is AFTER adjusting for all the dividends & share dividends since then. The actual market price peaks were $4.90 in 1995-1997, $5.70 in 2004, $10.65 in 2005(a very brief ex-bonus peak) & $4.18 in 2018.

Funny that the 2nd commenter before the previous one has such a sweeping judgement of the deal considering his dismal track record of buy & sell recommendations in other counters like PMCorp, C & C, Huaan etc. Forumers can delete their previous wrong calls BUT I have a memory that is long & enduring!
