Well they can go Holland for all I care d. Sorry for billis here kena caught. So my gut feeling was correct after all.. IPO nowadays not a guarantee to lower share price. oh well.. hope you guys all escape too... I bought 550 lots while I bought for my wife 200 lots... managed to clear the 750 lots this morning during the brief increase to 31.5 sen as I bought at 31 sen on listing day. A good business concept but didnt expect the directors to do what they did by heavy selling on the first too given that they have a moratorium of 6 months too. Maybe they are cashing out after all. During BFM podcast they denied that they were cashing out. too good to be true eh?

@stkoay yes bro, I believe you (since Genting or Tenaga days.. you rarely speak, and when you do, a lot of forumers including me also learn, like Maybank self DRIP). As for me, enough of YTLP eye candy, gonna realised the paper gain and then monetize it by turning RE power to Tiger power.. then we both roar Harimau together!! .. btw I only Tiger Cub level only :-)

@stkoay, slight correction, the real Tigers buy quietly first then only come and comment.. haha

stkoay: The real tigers are those who seldom come here to post comment, stay behind and buy quietly :)

Not bad not bad.... i bought at rm5.50 on 12 Oct 2023, today 26 Mar 2024 its already rm9.75, unrealised Nett gain of 77.63% after brokerage and clearing fee. Fortune favors the brave. congrats to MAHB for getting renewed license to operate airport again for the next 45 years to 11 Feb 2069!

hah just sold all and made a quick 1.6% profit for holding it for 2 days. a nice 5 course tai chow dinner tonight. this stock is a potential sleeper, spoilt by substantial shareholders selling on first day causing retailers to panic for no reason. had wanted to keep this in portfolio but too bad, selfish then all lose lose together

@Steven Chan, EPF always pay into account on day of announcing the dividend rate. thats why a few days before announcing rate, you cannot access your EPF account because they are updating details into your account and unless you are 55 and above or have a minimum of 1M allowing you to withdraw in multiples of 50k each time before 55, I highly doubt you can touch any of the moniesin your EPF account

Stock

@stkoay check out Alpha IVF which listed today on ACE market. Although not considered exciting listing on 1st day, still got a feeling that it's got potential in the medium term if you are interested to look at others.

Stock

Managed to pick up at 0.31 on listing day, below IPO price of 0.32. This stock has potential but medium term to growth in value. Must be patient.

@stkoay Noted with thanks on the advice of ASM. Just curious but if at 4.5%, would it still be better to take out for Equities or EPF then?

Dont take part in PADU, get kicked out of subsidy? since when is subsidy for M40 and T20? Menteri Ekonomi masih tidor? Dia sudah cakap pun dalam satu pod cast dulu (walaupun gurau gurau kata sambil ketawa bila ditanya dalam temuduga), kalau informasi di PADU tak sama dengan rekod mereka, mereka akan audit anda.

Stock

PADU is a waste of time. Technically I can be considered zero income, not even at B40 but according to LHDN my data shows that I was M40 before (3 years ago). They told me because I live in a nice zip code therefore I do not qualify for it. So if they already have a database, why bother to ask all of us to come on board this silly initiative?

For all you supporters, I would like to ask, did you register already and think it will help you? As long as you are or were in M40 before, you don't qualify for jack sheet.

Get ready guys... standby to top up guys once it reaches ex-price of 9.49. opportunity comes but only once or twice. you snooze, you loose. hope ASM1 results out and i can take out in time too.

@stkoay If take out, how long from ASM to transfer funds to your account last time? not closing but taking out most of it.

Stock

@nhbeen Yes liquidity is one thing when you have monthly commitments and also standby cash for emergency costs along the way. If parking into better interest bearing assets in the process, it's a PLUS point too. Depending on your age category, once should follow the asset class recommendations as a guide with a slight twerk as each person needs is a bit different. So based on my earlier portfolio class, I am a little more conservative than the recommendation by Rule of 100. But moving my large share from ASM to equities, I would be moving closer to that recommendation.

An Example you can use as a guide, The Rule of 100:

How does the ‘Rule of 100’ work?

The Rule of 100 – merely states that the age of the investor should be deducted from 100, and the resultant number should be the proportion of equity in one’s investment portfolio. So if you are 30 years old, you should hold 70% (100-30) of your portfolio in equity and the balance in debt and gold. This formula assists you to decide an allocation to high-risk investment avenues such as equities based on your age and risk tolerance.

Stock

@Hoottttttt Now only saw your post. congrats on your accumulation. I am in the midst of seeing ASM1 dividend at month end and if disappointing will withdraw out 85% of it and standby funds for another round of 100 lots of Harimau. when it next goes into dip. Same goes for YTLP, once it hits 4.15-4.20 when next favourable QR reporting in end May, gonna lock in the future YTLP dividends and buy more Harimau for further future dividend from self DRP. hoping that the annual dividend from equities can cover my monthly retirement without touching my EPF.

@linges only happy to share, hope that everyone here will also make money from their faith in this stock. only advise is despite what Gordon Gecko says that 'Greed is Good', well it's not always the case. as a retail investor, smart investing is crucial

Stock

To share with all here, I moved a big chunk of my excess retirement cash from FD to buy Harimau first and then when the dividends come back later, I slowly collect back my Dividends and put back into other asset interest generating class like fixed interest mutual fund like EPF or back into other FD (for emergency standby cash for family) that I took out from earlier. So I actually forward self-DRP.

Why did I do this method? cause I know that the price of Harimau now is low now (compared to possible higher TP of expected RM10.40-RM11.05), so I channel my resources first into this stock sacrificing the lower interest of 3.88% (from FD promo rate) for the higher interest of 6.8%-7.3% (from Harimau).

At the same time, the interest dividend from my early purchase now will go on to lower the cost of acquiring the qty now while the amount of total units the same. thereby lowering average share price (if you understand this theory then you know la),

So generally sacrificing the next 2 - 4 years of dividends NOW will further lower you average price and LATER in the end you will come out richer when its time for you to retire.

At the same time assuming when you do eventually diversify and relinquish your entire Harimau portfolio at the new higher TP, you will also reap the new profit from the gain in capital appreciation as well.

This is not financial advise ad would recommend to you all to do your own research and homework to see which method bests suits your financial commitment and needs. Whatever you do, never ever borrow from Ah Long or take out personal loans to try this method. I am able to save up much as over the years after a personal financial set back I was able to save up all my year end bonuses given by company and investing in safer interest bearing assets like FD before investing in equities and also Harimau after doing own research during the pandemic. Hope Harimau fans here will also find smart investing here one way or another. Peace

Amazing, all these big ikan jerung tried to scare and bully bilis by sell down at start of trading day only to end up swallowing all shares after that.

moral of the story here: Hold fast to your believe in the company that you are investing in. I believe @stkoay did shared here many moons ago that like Warren Buffet that you invest in the company and it's product. so dont goyang like the layang and if you still believe in the share, do sacrifice your dividend now and do little by little self DRP to reap the benefits in future.

'...Kenanga Research said this after a meeting with the lender, adding that it is maintaining its “outperform” call on Maybank but is lowering its target price for the stock to RM10.40 from an earlier RM11.05.....' (3 Nov 2022)

@stkoay no still holding it. its for dividend. but yes if I sell would have gotten a free Vios for only the down payment. I will keep for dividend as 7.x% but if it reaches 5.15 will sell as my dividend would be 90 years of dividend in advance and I would sell it ad put into EPF

@stkoay just to share with you, from my self DRP on the other day, if I resell all my self DRP that I just bought in open market now at 9.66, my clean profit from this alone is more than my old qty dividend for 6 months from holding the stock. Returns from selling this self DRP would have been 8.34%! thank you for reminding me to do self DRP which I didnt consider this option long enough. perhaps it was your reported self DRP returns that motivated me ... haha

@stkoay all the noisy fellas all go YTLP shouting up and down and insulting each other. The again, all these penny stocks attract the kuching kuraps who loves the opportunity to talk crap. Only a few serious investors there, the rest just come in and make noise as much as possible to disrupt the forum. case in point a user with the nick rr88 who was in Serba Dynamik joined by a few other clowns there to make unnessary noise there insulting each other. like the circus troupe moving from town to town to make as much entertainment as possible.

Investing in Maybank not so much for capital gains. the paper gains are 'eye-candy', well, to serious dividend play investors anyway. even if it goes up all the way to RM12, you wont want to realise the gains unless you are cashing all out as you dont think you need further passive income. outside of EPF, this is much higher return albeit riskier to a degree (risky if you are day trader la) or maybe BitCoin now all the rage, better than doing to casino.

@pang72 Got a feeling wont be able to get at 9.52, cause usually the big boys orders already keyed into queue by brokers on the same evening before ex date after market closed. Unless ex date it falls below 9.53 due to pressure short selling, from experience ex date for Harimau usually takes off quite fast at start of trading day. IMO I also understand that short sellers only short stocks which see falling prices. they usually never short a stock with rising price. It will be suicide for them. Also, they would want to grab all cheap stocks before retail buyers can do so too.

Any simpleton who doesn't do their own research or homework and being lazy just rely on others advice must be just a gambler who doesn't risk any amount s/he can't afford to lose. Who can say the price predicted will go up and down is correct or not? HL predicted TP rm5.15 recently. If it doesn't reach rm5.15, will you all sue them? They jo is to predict, it's our job to verify it. Simple

Great results from YTLP, indeed as expected.

@Dragon328, can you share your thoughts whether if foreign funds are main buyers and our local currency continue to fall to new depths, won't the 'gains' from increase in share price be negated for them? In the longer term unless there is a more positive economic outlook towards Malaysia and hence the Ringgit performance over the other major currrency, it would be a volatile market as foreign funds will treat this as a trading ground to pump and dump to make quick gains?

IMO, Caveat Emptor comes to mind.
