mtg to brief Swak tomorrow?

Few things for BNM to consider in allowing Swak to take above 50% in Affin are
1) is it better keeping Affin in LTAT or Swak
2) is it worth keeping BEA in Affin as major shareholder above 20% or allowing Swak to buy them out.
3) is it better to allow a large shareholder to restructure Affin or many shareholders and go nowhere.

with LTATs 29% and BEAs 23%, Swak will get more than 50%. the price must be attractive for BEA and LTAT to sell. or else they will be stuck for longer term. Swak will undertake to pare down to lower stake at later date once Affin is restructured and ROI improves.

MBSB and MIDF done at Price to Book of 0.8 times

BPlant & Bstd GO cost abt 1.9B to LTAT.
LTAT has abt 690M Affin. at 2.80 to 3.00 can pay off the GO Loan. Not sure if LTAT need more money to pay DV to their contributors/army.

anything below 3.00 doesn't achieve LTATs objective.

any deal has a chance to be terminated so if U a long term investor, it is best to trim as the price goes up and the balance for the KILL.. if the deal gets terminated, u still have the position to buy when it drops. this is simple risk management.

so harm trimming ur position a little if U had bought cheap. EPF also sold UMW before the GO was announced..

to answer why EPF selling.
If U had 1M shares bought at avg of below 2.00 wouldnt U sell at least 5% or 50K shares at 2.40 and reduce position. sell another 5% at 2.60 and so on. this is called trimming position.

Brent Oil closed very strongly. May see a good run in ALL O&G stocks.

just saw page 108 of their recent Annual Report.. 1.2B worth of properties clasified as inventories but registered under JV partners name. So they paid 1.2B to their JV partner but title not registered to YNHs name. what accounting is this. can someone advice.

After the slight blip last week due to margin calls, BA has resumed its uptrend. A break out above 54 will take it to new post of April 2023 high again. Crude is doing well, too, and is poised to break 80 convincingly this or next week.

for DV is not just taking into account of Groups Accumulated Losses. U have to look at the Companies Accumulated Losses which stands at 1.742B in Dec 2022... and 1.77B in Dec 2021. company will only reduce its losses if the subsidiaries pay DV to the Company. BA as a company has zero business, its profit is derived from DV from subsidiaries. the NTA at company level is only 44 sen for FY Dec 2022. pls dont look at Group accounts for DV payment.

for BA to pay DV they should wipe out their Accumulated Losses at Company Level.

SC and Bursa must investigate the hidden hands. the whole proposal is bad for minorities of Kuchai. the whole Nyalas Group of companies are taking their minorities for a big ride. bad corp governence.

deal will be aborted. minority shareholders will reject.. why sell asset worth 10 for 4?... all the asset is Great Eastern shares. might as well distribute the GE shares to Kuchai shareholders, why give it to SBagan.
