Palm oil future close@4392, 2nd day higher than 4320, let see if can sustain tomorrow. If flag pattern breakout confirmed, with roughly measurement of 1st leg (4300-3840=460), 2nd leg potential uptrend can be 4150+460=4610.

Many still wanna time the market and play margin, and may miss out the coming rally.
The quarter from Apr to June will see production increase and fully benefit from the current high CPO price.
Calvin is missing. Those not buying and those selling are not reminded of how cheap this counter is, vis a vis RM400m annual cash flow generation, net cash position, PE of less than 7, etc.

US Lumber steadied around $600 per thousand feet benchmark, close to the nearly 1-1/2 year highs of $617 per thousand feet touched on March 11th, buoyed by improved demand outlook. The US housing starts, which serve as a measure for demand, soared 10.7% month-over-month to an annualized rate of 1.521 million in February 2024, reversing the 12.3% fall in January and beating forecasts of 1.425 million. Additionally, the sentiment was lifted by solidified bets of monetary easing after Fed members have maintained their projection for three interest rate cuts in 2024. Lower borrowing costs would decrease the mortgage rates and, therefore, revive the need for lumber as the key building material.

Based on the present and forward CPO prices, I expect EPS for the coming 4 quarters as follows:
1) 2sen
2) 7.5 sen
3) 7 sen
4) 7 sen
Total EPS for 12 months: RM0.235.
Target price is now at least RM2.35 for a PE multiple of 10.

lol.malaysia stock market boleh..bumitama already move this one still consolidating..no foreign funds buying yet..myr still weak..hibiscus same thing too..oil goes up..still in same mode..lol..hsplant ..low volume everyday with not much movement...jtiasa everyday got a significant selling...malaysia market not enough player and volume to support the price like USA stocks..

When there is fear that the local currency will dip, it is natural for foreigners to sell-off some of their shares.. because profits when converted to their currency will be less.. For locals, if it is an export oriented business which is linked to USD, depreciation may be a bonus.. after discounting the inputs they get from abroad..Just views...

Why Rsawit and not Subur Tiasa.

The answer quite simple

Subur Tiasa's lands are basically into Timber and less palm oil. Now that conversion of forest lands to palm oil are not allowed Subur Tiasa will not be able to participate in full due to high Cpo prices over Rm4,300 MT

Rsawit i think from inception is already 100% fully into pure upstream palm oil

There was a law that was passed and there will be no more conversion of forest lands to palm oil

As such only converted palm oil lands are allowed to have change of use

From palm oil to Data center

From palm oil to Solar farm

From palm oil to housing, factories or other industries

This one forest concession lands are forbidden

And for that reason palm oil companies that own lots of palm oil lands will reap a golden windfall
