Dr. Leong Wan Leong holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan and a Master of Science Degree in Process Analysis and Development from the University of Aston Birmingham, United Kingdom.
Working Experience
Dr. Leong Wan Leong joined the University of Malaya in 1977 where he lectured, tutored and conducted research. He received his PhD Degree from the Departmental of Chemical Engineering, University of Malaya in 1984. Between mid 1980s until 1996, he held various positions at the Palm Oil Research Institute of Malaysia (PORIM), currently known as Malaysia Palm Oil Board. He is a trained assessor for the implementation and auditing of ISO 9000 Quality System for the palm oil industry. He is also the main assessing officer for PORIM’s Certificate of Competency Schemes for palm oil refineries and palm oil mills. He is also responsible for organising Diploma and other certified training programs for palm oil mill engineers, production supervisors and laboratory conductors. Currently, he has interests over several private limited companies involved in marketing and trading of products.
