Tunku Yahaya joined Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co from 1983 to 1985. Returning to Malaysia in 1986, he joined an advertising company namely MZC-Saatchi & Saatchi. In 1988, he joined the management of the refurnished Central Market (KL) as Executive Director. In 1994, he was appointed to put into operation and manage the television station, Metro Vision as Managing Director. He then started the music recording label, Melewar Parallax Sdn Bhd in 1997.
