En. Mohd Zain Ahmad began his career with the Royal Malaysian Police Force as a police inspector in 1971 and was promoted to Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1980. He served in the Force until his resignation in 1986 to commence legal practice. He is the founder and senior partner of the legal firm Messrs Zain Ahmad & Associates which was set up in 1988 and has been in active practice. En Mohd Zain Ahmad is also a Director in several private companies.
