Mr Mario Bastian Gross joined Lafarge Malaysia Berhad from Sika AG (Sika). He started his career with Sika in 2000 and has global experience with roles accross Germany, China, Thailand and Switzerland. He was with Asia Pacific Head of Procurement from 2007 to 2011, after which he was appointed Managing Director of Sika (Thailand) Ltd., Chonburi/Thailand. In 2013, he assumed his most recent role, Head of Global Procurement, Quality & Sustainability of Sika AG, Zurich.

He was appointed as the President & CEO and Executive Director of Lafarge Malaysia Berhad on 1 April 2018 and re-designated as Non-Independent Non- Executive Director from 16 November 2018 to 31 December 2018.
