He has held various managerial positions within Redland PLC and was one of the General Managers within the UK when Redland PLC was acquired by Lafarge SA in 1996. In 1999, he was appointed the Regional Director of Lafarge Aggregates & Concrete Ltd, UK. He assumed the role of Vice President, Performance, Aggregates & Asphalt with Lafarge SA, Paris in 2002 and was later appointed the Senior Vice President, Aggregates & Asphalt in 2005.
