Working Experience
Mr Chong has worked 39 years for Sime Darby of which the last 10 years as Managing Director of Sime Darby Industrial. He had 2 successful stints in China; first as Managing Director of China Engineers Ltd (Sime Darby's Caterpillar business in China) in 2006 and more recently as the Acting Executive Vice President of Sime Darby Energy and Utilities (China) in Shandong in 2011. Some of his earlier roles include being made the Sales Director of Tractors Malaysia (now known as Sime Darby Industrial) in 2002 and General Manager of Equipment and Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Project in 1992. Sime Darby Industrial was recently recognised by Caterpillar in 2015 as one of the Top Performing Caterpillar Dealers in the world.
