He is a former senior journalist holding positions in several newspapers, including Chief Editor of Borneo’s leading English daily, “The Borneo Post”. He also served in senior positions with management firms. He was the Executive Deputy Chairman of Star Publications (M) Bhd for two years, until December 2010. He was also a Non-Executive Director of SYF Resources Berhad from June 2012 - April 2014.

Currently, he is the Group Managing Director of SEG International Bhd. Tan Sri Clement Hii also holds positions in numerous private limited companies and charitable foundations.
