1986 to 1988 - Field and Sales Engineer for a local company involved in water treatment systems/services, and chemicals for the power, palm oil mill, and oil & gas industries.

1988 to 1994 - Started as Trainee Materials Supervisor at Sarawak Shell Berhad ("Shell"). Held various positions within the operations materials & supply department, and project department during the period. His last position at Shell was Head of Procurement (Steel Products).

1994 to 1995 - General Manager at Techno Indah Sdn Bhd, a Kuok/Perlis Plantation’s company joint venture with Malaysia Shipyard and Engineering, a company providing oil waste treatment services.

1996 to 1997 - Managing Director of Oakwell Industries Sdn Bhd, an oil and gas equipment supplier and engineering maintenance services company.

1997 to 2001 - Project Director with responsibility to plan and manage projects in the area of telecommunications, multi-media and related engineering systems at Edaran Positif (M) Sdn Bhd.

2001 to present - Petra Perdana Berhad Group. He was General Manager of Business Development for Petra Perdana and Executive Director of Petra Resources Sdn Bhd prior to promotion to Executive Director of Intra Oil Services Berhad, a subsidiary of Petra Perdana Berhad, to oversee its marine operations and future expansion. He later held a dual role as Senior General Manager of Petra Perdana Berhad whilst maintaining executive directorship responsibilities over Intra Oil Services Berhad.
