Working Experience
Datuk Alias began his career serving in government departments and Ministries since 1970. He was appointed as Director of Industrial Development of the Ministry of Trade & Industry in 1987. In 1990, he was appointed the Cabinet Under-Secretary in the Prime Minister's Department and Deputy Secretary-General (Cabinet) in 1995. He wa the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health from 2000 until his retirement in 2004. He has served as a member of Securities Commission from 10 June 2004 to January 2006.
