Mahdzir Othman has 23 years of experience in fund management and capital market development activities, which include strategically leading an asset management company, marketing of investment products and services, formulating and executing investment strategies as well as research.

Mahdzir Othman has served as Director Securities Market of Bursa Malaysia Berhad since 14 August 2017. He was previously the Chief Executive Officer of i-VCAP Management Sdn Bhd (i-VCAP), a licensed Islamic fund management company from December 2010 to August 2017. Prior to that, he was the Chief Investment Officer of the holding company of i-VCAP, i.e. ValueCap Sdn Bhd, a government-linked proprietary fund management company which he joined in February 2003.
