Reason
Disposal of 10,000,000 stock units in Eastern & Oriental Berhad ("E&O") by Multi-Purpose Holdings Berhad ("MPHB") and 3,035,900 stock units in E&O by subsidiaries of Magnum 4D Berhad which is a subsidiary of Magnum Corporation Berhad which in turn is an associated company of MPHB. Arising from the above disposal of stock units in E&O, MPHB has ceased to be a substantial shareholder of E&O. Accordingly, Quantum Aspects Sdn Bhd ("QASB") and Dynamic Icon Sdn Bhd ("DISB") also ceased to be a substantial shareholder of E&O by virtue of Section 6A(4) of the Companies Act, 1965, held through MPHB and QASB respectively. Therefore, Dato' Tham Ka Hon's deemed interest in E&O by virtue of his interest in DISB has also ceased and accordingly the balance shareholding of 9,048,067 stock units in E&O held by MPHB and its subsidiary, A.A. Anthony Securities Sdn Bhd has been excluded.
