KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 27): Former deputy inspector-general of police Tan Sri Mazlan Lazim has resigned from his post as the independent and non-executive chairman of AHB Holdings Bhd, just over seven months after he was appointed.

His resignation was "due to other commitments", AHB said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Tuesday (Sept 27).

Mazlan, 61, was appointed to the post on Feb 9. According to AHB, he only has a direct interest of one million shares in the company.

AHB is a fully-integrated office interior solutions provider, according to its official website.

For the nine months ended June 30, 2022, the group posted a wider net loss of RM3.64 million, from a net loss of RM2.49 million for the previous corresponding period, as revenue dropped to RM6.49 million from RM7.3 million.

At the time of writing on Tuesday, AHB was trading half a sen higher at 12 sen, giving the company a market capitalisation of RM45 million.
