KUALA LUMPUR (June 19): Konsortium Transnasional Bhd has proposed to rebrand as Epicon Bhd, as part of plans to align its corporate identity with the substantial financial contribution from its construction business and its anticipated growth in the future.

In a circular to shareholders on Monday (June 19), the company said the strategic move will not only enhance the company's profile but also establish a strong brand presence as a prominent player in the construction industry.

“By adopting a new name, the company aims to position itself for long-term success and effectively communicate its expertise and capabilities to stakeholders and the market,” it said.

The company added that the proposed change of name, if approved by the shareholders, will be effective from the date of issuance of the Notice of Registration of New Name by the Companies Commission of Malaysia.

At the time of writing, Konsortium Transnasional shares were flat at 22.5 sen with 1.17 million shares traded.
