KUALA LUMPUR (April 15): A man has been arrested in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, over a shooting incident at Terminal 1 of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on Sunday.

Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said the 38-year-old suspect was arrested at about 3pm on Monday.

He said the Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director or the Kelantan chief police would hold a press conference on the arrest soon.

"Yes, I can confirm that an arrest has been made,” he told Bernama when contacted.

In the 1.20am incident on Sunday, a man fired two shots at his wife at the entrance of the arrival hall but missed, and one shot hit her bodyguard in the abdomen instead.

The bodyguard was admitted to a hospital and reportedly in stable condition.

Police earlier said that they were looking for Hafizul Harawi to assist in investigations into the case.
