KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 27): Construction company Binastra Corp Bhd (KL:BNASTRA) on Wednesday bagged a contract for the redevelopment of a sewage treatment plant in Taman Bukit Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.
The company said the RM67.55 million contract, awarded by F3 Cheras Development Sdn Bhd, involves the construction of new sewer force mains, gravity sewer mains and pumping stations.
It also encompasses upgrading existing sewage facilities and decommissioning outdated infrastructure across multiple sites, said Binastra in a statement.
The company, formerly known as Comintel Corporation Bhd, said the three-year contract is expected to bolster its financial performance from the financial year ended Jan 31, 2025 (FY2025) to FY2028, providing a substantial boost to shareholder value over four years.
With this latest contract, Binastra said it has secured RM2.8 billion worth of new contracts for FY2025, boosting its total outstanding order book to RM3.5 billion.
Binastra’s share price closed nine sen or 6% higher at RM1.59 on Wednesday, valuing the company at RM1.73 billion.
