bought at 1.67. Hope will get nice dividends above 6% yearly from this RM1.67.

When the price get to maybe RM2.50 in 4 or 5 years can sell with good profit :)

The bosses are buying. Hope they have counter measures to overcome the current issue in the local automotive storm. But this storm by Chinese cars is really no joke

In short....Malaysia's vehicle market is expected to be cautious in 2024 and 2025 due to factors such as:
- Malaysian automakers' earnings dipping in 2024
- Higher costs
- "Aggressive" Chinese OEMs
- Excise duty and high value items tax
- Sales tax exemptions for locally assembled completely knocked down EVs
- RON95 subsidy cuts for 15% of income earners, raising cost of living concerns. Fuel prices could spike
- MRT3 , LRT3 means less use of cars...

Bermaz needs to rebrand itself , perhaps an assembler of China OEMs?
The risk of Mazda Co. following the path of Nissan on a merger to survive?

Bermaz has 11percent stake in EPMB which assemble vehicle for Haval but they are not the distributor. ChangAn already have factory in Thailand definitely will come here next year just do not know whether ChangAn be here on it own or appoint distributor

The hike of Ron95 has a long term implication for electrification. Consider it. Besides, the press did echo this recently.

Everyone is losing money with Bermaz because EPF is the 2nd largest shareholder with almost 14%. Really hope the bosses has remedies to stop the sliding and regain the shareholder confidence

EPF doesn't care because they use our money to invest...Sbb from directors won' help much as the volume is just minimal...

Hi weixuan0325. The share bought by the directors doesn't consider as share buyback for BAuto as the share is bought under Dynamic Milestone is a holding company co owner by few directors. So it doesn't involve any money from BAuto the share are bought with directors own money through this holding company.

Most likely will drop until oversold. But what is the oversold point? That is of interest to value investor.

Poor latest quarter earnings and worst still it was magnified by the wrong pessimistic note in the report. Double down lol

garydonald21

The most important point is where is the stopping point of the falling trend. I guess EPF also catch the wrong ball at the wrong field like myself, I though yesterday will be the rebound point so I decided to buy in, like what EPF did they buy in 500k, I buy in 5k,hahahhah who know this morning when I look at US market. Aiyo. Hope 1.55 is their lowest

weixuan0325

Yes I know I mean shares acquired by the 3 directors...I should use "acquired" instead of sbb my bad...

Never expect the drop can be this bad. If this drop prolong slowly will go Sime and others auto related counter maybe with an exception of MBMR because producing for perodua which is shielded from the blood bath

Those outsource EPF fund manager really daring aquire when price dropped 25%. Not their money so aggressive also no problem. Haha

Greg14

year end and new outlook for private vehicle next year with petrol subsidy removal and EV rising popularity bah.. really have to hold and see, cut loss that boat had sailed away for me, now is only average down price for longer term holding/value only

cwc1981

Greg14 I admire your spirit but seeing the price keep sliding is very painful like what I'm enduring now. Don't know when can see the light. Anyhow good luck to everyone

cwc1981

Hi guys the above article may worth reading. As this new tax system on the 1st of January 2025, CKD price may go up to 20%. Let assuming the price Omoda C9 currently sold at 188k with 20% increase the price will go up to 228k. Again let assume the new cx60 CBU is price at between 250k to 260k for 2.5cc PHEV, which one will you all pick? Maybe this can be one of the advantage for small auto player like Bermaz. Do fund manager also see this?

cwc1981

The price range for new cx60 is assumption that mazda dealer expect. It doesn't come from my imagination. Haha don't scold me ya

Greg14

cwc1981 cheers bro sure got ups and downs one.. its a learning process to ride the waves ;)

weixuan0325

cx30, cx5 and kia sportage price will increase as well...

Greg14

maybe prior to price increase, will have a round of big sales pocketed in to boost up earnings first? cx30 is quite a popular model recently since CKD since 2023, saw alot on roads. cx60 wise i think market more likely targeted on those Lexus customer, low profile luxury stuff given

cwc1981

Agreed weixuan0325. CX30, CX 5 and Sportage will continue to battle within the highly competitive mid range SuV segment. But with new OMV tax starting 1st January it will bring the price narrower for Honda CRV, Omoda C9, BMW x series and VW Tiguan. With this price different most likely people will choose the fully imported Mazda CX60 over the rest. Bermaz is just a small player, I don't know what is the combine sales for those CRV and etc but if Mazda manage to sell 6k unit for cx 60 annually, 10k of CX 5 as what happened now, 4k unit of cx30 and maybe 1.5k unit of xpeng and plus 1k unit of all the kia vehicles. I believe with 22k unit of sales annually Bermaz should able to go back to 2023 record profit

cwc1981

Hi Greg14. Good observation actually in August till October the sales for cx30 and cx5 is 40:60

cwc1981

Just my assumption. I believe if this OMV tax really come in force most likely will benefits small player like Bermaz. Not so good for Sime because Toyota, Honda is mostly local assemble
