The Mahathir Tun Daim Master Plan
After 3 consequtive defeats of PH government, and being threatened by withdrawals of foreign funds from our bond market, we are seeing a mega U turn in priorities..........no more austerity..............instead, full steam ahead mega projects:
- the $ 42 billion ECR, not counting interest and maintenance
- selling and developing the Bandar Malaysia land to China JV
- a $ 10 billion proposal for the government to purchase the Kampong Baru land.
- The $ 44 billion Penang Transport Master Plan
- the $ 6 billion FELDA rescue package
and who knows what more coming..................
Key words - Mega projects.
The objective
- to revive the economy through some Keynesian spending ,
- and to do what Malaysia and Tun Daim do best........to wake up the share market................

Any doubts that Mahathir and Tun Daim can pull it off?
China- Malaysia joined at the hips. We need China more than China needs us. We need Alibaba, Tencent, Huawei, and the rest of the gang.
Forest City? Why not? Tebrau Bay? Why not?

Those budget need to be taken care of. When they pour in such money into the system without relying on external forces this going to be another disaster. Except it was financed by investors around the world.

Sentiment should be good for bursa as Mahathir will play nice to China! So expect Mahathir to sing praises for China and China renuew their dominance in Malaysia! Looking at things, Mahathir knows the ship is sinking and only China can help him now!
