THE Ministry of Education (MOE) through the Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory Education Department in collaboration with NuMee Gardenia has launched a Covid-19 preventative campaign at selected schools.

The aim of the campaign is to instill the #KitaJagaKita spirit amongst school students and at the same time, remind them to keep their physical distance and maintain good hygiene habits for the safety of all.

The #KitaJagaKita campaign is aimed at educating and reminding students about the 3W and 3C practices. Reminders and signs will be placed throughout the school compound to ensure students do not forget the dos and don'ts during this pandemic.

3W consists of a reminder to Wash (frequently washing hands with water and soap) Wear (wearing face masks) and Warn (to always be warned by taking precautions in public places).

3C, on the other hand, reminds students to avoid crowded places, confined places, and close conversation.

Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bandar Baru Sentul, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (P) Air Panas, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bandar Baru Ampang, Kolej Tingkatan 6 Pudu Jaya, and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seri Pantai are the five schools selected to participate in this campaign.

NuMee Gardenia will work with each school to allocate preventive tools, put up "Kita Jaga Kita" reminders and signs, disinfect compounds, and distribute masks to ensure the environment remains a safe place for everyone.

"Students spend most of their time in a day at school. We understand that they need to feel safe. We would like to ease the worries of parents' and students by helping to create a clean and safe environment," says Gardenia Bakeries (KL) Sdn Bhd marketing manager, Ena Suhaila Abas.

Face masks and hand sanitisers will be provided in selected schools. Apart from that, extra precautions will be taken by disinfecting classrooms and other frequently visited areas around the school.

Reminders and signs on Covid-19 preventive measures will be put up throughout the schools from the main gates to the corridors, classrooms, main offices, teacher's rooms, medical rooms, student's corners, info boards, and canteens.

Apart from that, floor markings to indicate the 1 metre distance required will also be placed to assist students during queuing or lining up.

NuMee Gardenia will also be providing students with NuMee Goreng meals during recess.
