KUALA LUMPUR: Water supply to 55 areas in Klang and Shah Alam, which experienced an unscheduled disruption since Friday night, will gradually resume today.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) Head of Corporate Communications Elina Baseri said repair works following a pipe burst incident at Taman Mutiara Bukit Raja 2, Klang were completed at 6am today (March 25).

She said the water supply is expected to be fully restored by 6am tomorrow (Sunday).

"The water supply will begin to be distributed in stages to the consumers' premises after the water supply system is stabilised.

"The water supply recovery period differs from one area to another according to the location and distance of consumers' premises," she said in a statement today.

Elina said Air Selangor will continue to mobilise water tankers to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres and funerals during the unscheduled water supply disruption.

The company will provide regular updates on this incident through all media platforms.

The affected areas are: Ikea Pulau Indah, Bandar Sultan Sulaiman Fasa 4, Kawasan Perindustrian Selat Klang Utara, Seksyen 32 (Berjaya Park), Bandar Sultan Sulaiman Fasa 1, Eco Ardence, Kampung Pulau Indah (Taman Samudera), Kampung Pulau Indah, Kampung Pulau Indah (Wisma Polis Marin Pulau Indah), Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ), Jalan Limbungan, Jalan Syahbandar, Bandar Putera 2, Bandar Putera, Armada Putera, Glenmarie Cove, Kota Pendamar, Sementa, Bandar Botanik, Kawasan Perindustrian Bukit Raja Selatan, Bandar Sultan Sulaiman Fasa 3, Kawasan Perindustrian Bandar Sultan Sulaiman, and Kawasan Perindustrian Bandar Sultan Sulaiman (Perdana Industrial Park).
