PKR man chides Sanusi over PAS-PN campaign to capture Selangor

SELANGOR PKR election director Mohd Yahya Mat Sahri went against Kedah Menteri Besar (MB) Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor over the PAS-Perikatan Nasional (PN) claims they are winning in Selangor, saying the latter can’t develop Kedah but wants to control states that are already developed. 
 
He said Perikatan Nasional (PN) has started a massive campaign to capture Selangor and wants to capture Selangor and Penang, but the Kedah MB needs to realise what he has contributed to the state as a “Kedahan”.
 
Yahya was responding to an early claim by Sanusi that only a Selangor-born politician can be appointed as the MB of the richest state in Malaysia.
 
“I want to tell Sanusi, he wants to develop the state of Kedah but he can’t. He can’t enlarge the drain, he can’t enlarge the river. He can’t build an airport.
 
“But what is his idea? For Kedah to progress, then he wants to take Penang because Penang has progressed, so Kedah will progress. That’s all his idea. That he wants to be the commander to capture Selangor?,” he asked.
 
Sanusi’s statement last month on Selangor sparked controversy on social media. It was followed by several posts from the PAS saying only a Selangor-born person can become the Selangor MB. 
 
PAS and PN then continued with their series of campaigns, saying Selangor is mismanaged or that Islam is poorly represented in the state run by the PKR and DAP.
 
Moreover, the campaign also said PAS and PN should win to bring down the PKR-DAP government.
 
It highlighted the fact that Selangor has been under PKR-DAP since 2008 and that is now an issue for PAS-PN which said “it is enough for the two parties to run the state for more than two decades.”
 
He also criticised former Selangor MB Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali for not delivering on his promises made to villagers in the state during his tenure. 
 
Yahya and former UMNO leader Tan Sri Noh Omar is busy asking UMNO members to remember his services in Tanjung Karang and claimed that there are many mistakes made by Noh in Selangor for people to forget the problems caused. 
 
“Forget Sanusi, forget Azmin, forget Noh Omar. We have the MB (Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari), the EXCO line and we have the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim with the idea of a Madani Malaysia and its six main principles.
