KUALA LUMPUR: The government supports initiatives to transform Kuala Lumpur by preserving its cultural heritage while embracing a modern and innovative appearance, reflecting advancements in artificial intelligence.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said that a detailed vision for the transformation of Kuala Lumpur - spanning from the Sultan Abdul Samad Building near Dataran Merdeka, through the Kuala Lumpur Railway Station, and up to Carcosa Seri Negara - must be presented before the tabling of Budget 2025, scheduled for next month.

"How it should be done is not my concern, but (Khazanah Nasional managing director Datuk) Amirul Feisal (Wan Zahir) and Think City need to figure it out.

"If not, what's the point of the name Think City? Think City, you'd better think properly and give me the answer.

"And before the tabling of the 2025 Budget, I want to ensure that the country has a clear picture of a proposal for a new look for Kuala Lumpur that remains deeply connected to our rich cultural heritage," he said during his special address at the Khazanah Nasional Bhd 30th Anniversary Celebration today.

Also present were the Investment, Trade, and Industry Minister, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz; Plantation and Commodities Minister, Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghan; Finance Minister II, Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan; and Amirul Feisal.
