The FBM KLCI bucked the mostly negative trend across its regional peers as the local bourse snapped a five-day losing streak amid bargain hunting activities in selected index heavyweights. Market breadth, however, remained negative as losers overpowered the winners on a ratio of 553-to-297 stocks, while 404 stocks flatlined. Consumer products giants like Dutch Lady (-38.0 sen), Carlsberg (-34.0 sen) and Heineken (-26.0 sen) topped the broader market decliners list following the re-introduction of SST earlier this month.
