FBM KLCI: 1,561.74 pts (-22.03pts, -1.39%)

The FBM KLCI was beaten down on Friday, mainly due to losses in Tenaga Nasional (-56.0 sen) after the latter was served a hefty tax bill by the IRB.  Market breadth was also depressed as losers beat the winners yet again, while Pentamaster (-21.0 sen), OCK (-1.5 sen) and Willowglen (-1.0 sen) retreated following its exclusion from the syariah-compliant list.
