FBM KLCI: 1,581.59 pts (-7.60pts, -0.48%)

The FBM KLCI (-0.5%) slipped after Friday’s gains as investors took profit on selected banking and Petronas-related companies, bucking the regional uptrend move. Market breadth, however, remained positive as the gainers thumped the losers by 624-to-476 stocks. The technology sector (+2.6%) emerged as the biggest winner on the positive-bias broader market, powered by gains in MPI (+160.0 sen), GENETEC (+128.0 sen), and VITROX (42.0 sen).
