Datin Suryani's background in Accounting allowed her to begin her career in finance at Petronas and thereafter as an Investment analyst with Seacorp Schroders Capital Management. In her professional career, she worked for Chopard a Swiss luxury retail brand. Her specific task was to turn around the business at the flagship Pavilion boutique. She was responsible for growing the P&L, to build relationships with clients and high net worth individuals and to create a strong customer service culture. She was selected to represent Chopard Malaysia as a Customer Relationship Management ("CRM") systems expert and to roll out Chopardforce, Chopard's global CRM initiative. Prior to this, as an entrepreneur, she was a business retail partner to Caltex (now known as Chevron Texaco). The experience gave her exposure to sales, operations, branding and financial management. She was awarded the top retail partner in the region 1999-2000. Datin Suryani currently sits on PROLINTAS Group of Companies (a PNB company) and several of its subsidiaries, she is also a member of the Audit Committee of the Group's holding company. The second is Malaysia Airports (Niaga) Sdn Bhd (commercially known as ERAMAN), the retail subsidiary of Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd.
