He graduated with a Bachelor of Economics (Bus.Adm.) from University of Malaya. He also holds a Master in Business Administration (Finance) from Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York.
Working Experience
He joined Sarawak State Government Office as Assistant Secretary of State Planning Unit in 1973. He then moved to the State Financial Secretary’s Office working as Principal Assistant Secretary in 1979. In 1981, he was appointed as Deputy Chairman of Sarawak State Economic Development Corporation. In 1987, he assumed the position as Deputy Financial Secretary of Sarawak State Financial Secretary Office and moved to Ministry of Infrastructure Development as Permanent Secretary in 1990. In 1993 he was promoted to Senior Administrative Officer (Special Function) of State Secretary’s Office and subsequently in 1994, he was appointed as Deputy State Secretary (Human Resources) at Chief Minister’s Department. In August 2005, he was appointed as Sarawak State Secretary till 31 December 2006.
