Tan Sri Ahmad bin Mohd Don was appointed to the Board on 13 October 2006 as an Independent Non-Executive Director. Tan Sri Ahmad is a Member of Audit Committee, Risk & Sustainability Management Committee and Nomination and Remuneration Committee of the Company.
Tan Sri Ahmad has extensive experience in finance and banking, having worked in various capacities with Pernas Securities Sdn Bhd, Permodalan Nasional Berhad and Malayan Banking Berhad. He served as the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Malayan Banking Berhad from 1991 to 1994. Tan Sri Ahmad was the Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia from May 1994 to August 1998.
Tan Sri Ahmad is currently the Independent Non-Executive Chairman of Zurich Takaful Malaysia Berhad (formerly known as MAA Takaful Berhad), Hap Seng Plantations Holdings Berhad and Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad. He is also the Chairman/Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of Zurich Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad (formerly known as Zurich Insurance Malaysia Berhad). He also serves on the Board of United Malacca Berhad as Independent Non- Executive Director.
