The transmission lines construction segment involves supply, installation, and commissioning of transmission line projects. And the corporate segment is involved in Group-level corporate and management services, the power generation business and provision of helicopters services. It generates the majority of the revenue from power cables and conductors segment.

SCB and its subsidiary, Universal Cable (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd, are both facing lawsuits from two banks, Hong Leong Bank Bhd and Hong Leong Bank Islamic Bhd, over a total owed sum of RM95.53mil.

As at May 31, 2023, Sarawak Cable had RM388.64 million of current loans and borrowings, but only RM37.46 million in cash and bank balances. Its accumulated losses swelled to RM283.7 million, with capital deficiency of RM63.9 million as at the date.
Sarawak Cable has been ascribed a Practice Note 17 company since Sept 30, 2022. As at Oct 9, its shares were trading at five sen, valued at RM18.29 million. It has been loss-making since the financial year ended Dec 31, 2017.

Any working relationship with Serendib has ceased. Serendib is no longer involved in any resuscitation plan or proposal concering the Company.
The Company has identified a strong alternative party to carry out a resuscitation plan and is in the process of engaging the services of professionals towards proposing and implementing that plan.

High risk high reward. Scable is in demand. Previous whiteknight is not really cash cow. Scable is opting for more prominent whiteknight. Once announce, price can rocket back to 35-40sen.
Sarawak state goverment will have big say in this i think.
